Mary Elizabeth Winstead Gets ‘Smashed’ in Official Trailer and Poster

Sony Pictures Classics released the first official trailer and poster this week for the upcoming drama Smashed, starring Rocky Mount, North Carolina native Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Death Proof) as an alcoholic teacher trying to go sober.

Directed by James Ponsoldt, Smashed premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was screened last weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In addition to Winstead, the film also stars Aaron Paul (AMC’s Breaking Bad), Nick Offerman (We’re the Millers), Octavia Spencer (The Help), Mary Kay Place (Being John Malkovich), Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Bree Turner (The Ugly Truth), and Megan Mullally (NBC’s Will & Grace).

You can get Smashed in theaters starting October 12, 2012.
