Julianne Moore is One Bad Mama in First ‘Carrie’ Image

The first official image of Fayetteville, North Carolina native Julianne Moore as psycho mom Margaret White in the new Carrie remake arrived this week via Entertainment Weekly, along with a bloody shot of star Chloe Grace Moretz (NC-filmed Hick) recreating an iconic scene.

Directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry), the remake stars Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick Ass, Let Me In, Dark Shadows), Julianne Moore (Hannibal, The Big Lebowski), Judy Greer (Love and Other Drugs), Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers), and Alex Russell (Chronicle).

Moore previously starred in The Fugitive (1993), which was partly filmed in North Carolina, and Moretz can currently bee seen on DVD in the new drama Hick, also filmed in North Carolina.
