Odette Annable Joins ‘Banshee’ in Charlotte
Former House regular Odette Annable is reuniting with showrunner Greg Yaitanes in the upcoming Cinemax series Banshee, now filming in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to TVLine, Annable will appear in a multi-episode arc on Cinemax’s upcoming 10-episode series, executive produced by her former House boss Yaitanes. She will play a Native American assassin with a questionable past.
Odette Annable (Cloverfield, The Unborn, October Road) joins the previously announced cast, including Antony Starr (Rush), Ivana Milicevic (Charlie’s Angels), Matt Servitto (Hitch), Ulrich Thomsen (The Celebration), Frankie Faison (The Wire), Rus Blackwell (Recount), Ryann Shane (Blue Bloods), Lili Simmons (Geek Charming), Chelsea Cardwell (What to Expect When You’re Expecting), and Ben Cross (Star Trek).
Executive produced by Alan Ball (True Blood, Six Feet Under) and Greg Yaitanes (House, Lost), the action drama centers on an ex-convict and master thief (Antony Starr) who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, PA, where he continues his criminal activities even as he’s being hunted by the shadowy gangsters he had betrayed years earlier.
HBO-owned Cinemax began production on Banshee in and around Charlotte, NC in May.
The show will debut on Cinemax in 2013.
