First Look at NC-Filmed GMC TV Movie ‘Somebody’s Child’

Filmed in Wilmngton, North Carolina earlier this year, the made-for-television movie Sombody’s Child premieres on the Gospel Music Channel (GMC) this month.

Lynn Whitfield (‘The Josephine Baker Story’, ‘Eve’s Bayou’) stars in the GMC TV movie ‘Somebody’s Child’, filmed in Wilmington, NC.

Somebody’s Child stars NAACP Image Award-nominee Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight, Spawn) and Emmy and NAACP Image Award-winner Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story, Eve’s Bayou), along with Nadine Ellis (Let’s Stay Together), Clifton Powell (Ray, For Richer or Poorer), and Byron Minns (Undisputed).

Directed by Gary Wheeler, the family-friendly film tells the stroy of a terminally ill mother and son (Whitfield and White) who let an ex-con (Minns) into their lives.

Filming took place in Wilmington, NC in June, according to Star News.

Somebody’s Child will premiere GMC TV on August 25th and 26th, airing at 7, 9, and 11pm each night.
