[Now Filming] ‘Mary and Martha’ Brings Hilary Swank to Southport

An HBO television movie currently in production starring two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank began filming in Southport, North Carolina this week, as a number of photos from the set have already hit the internet.

In the image below (click to enlarge), you can see Mary and Martha co-stars Swank and James Woods filming a scene in Southport earlier this week in Southport.

Filming of Mary and Martha started on Monday, July 9 at a waterfront home on East Bay Street in Southport, according to Star News.

The production has already filmed in Africa, and will next head to Wilmington, which will stand in as Washington, D.C. for about a week.

Mary and Martha stars two-time Best Actress Academy Award winner Hilary Swank (Boys Don’t Cry, Million Dollar Baby), and Brenda Blethyn (Pride and Prejudice, Atonement) as two women who bond while fighting malaria, along with James Woods (Videodrome, Vampires).

The HBO film is directed by Phillip Noyce (Salt).
