MTV Wants You to ‘Scream’ for New Horror Series

MTV is hoping to bring iconic film slasher Ghostface to television!

New Bern, NC native Kevin Williamson created the ‘Scream’ franchise and its iconic killer known as Ghostface.

TV Line reports that MTV has plans to make a weekly series based on New Bern, North Carolina native Kevin Williamson’s Scream franchise.

It is not yet known how involved original screenwriter Williamson will be in the new series, but producers are currently looking for a writer for the pilot episode.

Kevin Williamson wrote the original Scream and two of its three sequels, most recently last year’s Scream 4.

All of the films in the franchise were directed by Wes Craven.
