‘Homeland’ Star Claire Danes Talks Nudity
Homeland star Claire Danes recently joined roundtable discussion with some of this year’s other leading contenders for the Best Actress in a Drama Emmy, where she talked about nudity and the upcoming season of her Golden Globe winning series, about to start filming season 2 in Charlotte.
THR brought Danes together with Mireille Enos, January Jones, Julianna Margulies, Emmy Rossum and Kyra Sedgwick for a photoshoot and roundtable discussion on all things relevant to women on TV.

On the always popular subject of nudity in film (and on television), Danes says, “I don’t love stripping down, but I also don’t love the idea of being kind of coy or prudish for the sake of it.”
The My So Called Life actress tells THR of her new hit series, “Homeland is just so dense. The volume of material that you have to commit to memory is overwhelming.
“So I did develop a strategy, and I realized I just had to become familiar and intimate with the script as soon as it landed in my lap. After a while, it got really fun. I would read lines with my husband [actor Hugh Dancy] on the train.”

The second season of Homeland – starring Claire Danes, Damian Lewis, and Morena Baccarin – is currently in production Charlotte, NC.
Season 2 will premiere on Showtime on September 30th.
